Author Presentation Graphic

Join Anne Burleigh Jacobs, PT, PhD, author of Highs, Lows, and Plateaus: A Path to Recovery from Stroke – Second Edition (2024), for an eye-opening presentation designed to shed light on the incredible potential of recovery. Dr. Jacobs, an early pioneer in stroke recovery and neuroplasticity, will help you understand the science behind recovery and the amazing capacity of the brain to adapt and heal through neuroplasticity. Her ability to break down complex medical concepts into meaningful conversations will offer hope, insight, and practical strategies for anyone impacted by stroke.

What you’ll learn:

  • The stages of stroke recovery and what to expect at each step
  • How neuroplasticity drives brain recovery after a stroke
  • Effective strategies for setting recovery goals and staying motivated
  • The truth about “plateaus” and how to keep making progress

A brief, informative slide presentation followed by an interactive Q&A session with Dr. Jacobs to answer your questions. Her book will be available afterward to purchase ($15 cash, check or Zelle).

This presentation is free to attend, but please RSVP at 208-608-7580.
